The Romans - Chapter 30 | Contains 60 Verses – Mecca |
|
|
الم |
|
1- |
Alif – Lam – Mim (from Allah = God to Muhammad) |
|
غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ |
|
2- |
The Romans became defeated, |
|
فِي أَدْنَى الْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ |
|
3- |
In the lowest area of the land, but after their defeat, they will soon be victorious, 1 |
|
فِي بِضْعِ سِنِينَ لِلَّهِ الْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن بَعْدُ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ |
|
4- |
Within a few years, for the Decision belongs to God, first and last, and on that day (occasion), the believers (Muslims) will (also) be happy. 2 |
|
بِنَصْرِ اللَّهِ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ |
|
5- |
By the Help of God, as He helps whom He wills and He Alone is All Mighty, All Merciful (to good ones). |
|
وَعْدَ اللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ |
|
6- |
This is a promise by God. God never breaks His Promise, but most people do not know (this truth). |
|
يَعْلَمُونَ ظَاهِرًا مِّنَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ الْآخِرَةِ هُمْ غَافِلُونَ |
|
7- |
They know something about the outside
appearance of the life in this world, but they are careless and unaware of the ultimate meaning and the Hereafter. |
|
أَوَلَمْ
يَتَفَكَّرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ |
|
8- |
Why don’t they think for themselves and about
their own beings? God has only created the heavens (the galaxies) and the earth and all that is in between then to manifest the Truth and for a term set (by Him), and yet there are many people who insist to deny and refuse the reality of meeting their Lord (realization of the Presence of their Lord and that they are destined to meet Him in the Hereafter as well). |
|
أَوَلَمْ
يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ
الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً
وَأَثَارُوا الْأَرْضَ |
|
9- |
Why don’t they travel about the earth, to
observe what and how was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in power and in their impact on earth and they built it up more than what these people have done and to them also came their Messengers with all the clear revelations. (But when they rejected the truth, what happened to them afterwards,) it was not God who did wrong to them, but it was they who did wrong to themselves. |
|
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاؤُوا السُّوأَى أَن كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِئُون |
|
10- |
It has always been the end condition of those people
who persisted in grave wrongdoing so that they claimed the Messages of God to be lies and even made fun of them. |
|
اللَّهُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ |
|
11- |
God initiates the creation in the first
instance, and then brings it forth again and ultimately you all will be brought back to Him (for Reckoning of your past deeds). |
|
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
|
12- |
And when the Hour (the Time of Reckoning) is established, the guilty ones will be in despair and hopeless. |
|
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَائِهِمْ شُفَعَاء وَكَانُوا بِشُرَكَائِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ |
|
13- |
And there won’t be any of their imagined
partners to God, as intercessors and they even will deny the divinity of their previously imagined partners. |
|
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ |
|
14- |
And the Day, when the Hour (of Judgment) is
established, on that Day, all (humans) will be sorted out (according to their previous religions and deeds). |
|
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَةٍ يُحْبَرُونَ |
|
15- |
As for those who had believed and did
righteous good work, they shall be in the Garden (of Paradise) honored and made happy. |
|
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَلِقَاء الْآخِرَةِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ |
|
16- |
But as for those who had suppressed the truth
and disbelieved and had claimed Our Revelations and the Meeting in the Hereafter to be merely lies, they shall be summoned into suffering (in Hell). |
|
فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ |
|
17- |
So practice prayer by remembering the Glory of God when you enter the evening and you enter the morning. |
|
وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ |
|
18- |
And all praise and thanks are due to Him in the
heavens (the galaxies) and the earth and glorify Him during the night as well
and when you reach the noontime. |
|
يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَيُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَكَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ |
|
19- |
He is the One Who brings forth dead materials
to life and causes the living to become dead, and gives life to the earth after its death and in the same manner, you shall be brought out back to life (resurrected). |
|
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَنتُم بَشَرٌ تَنتَشِرُونَ |
|
20- |
And among signs of His Might is that He
created you (humans) from the earth materials, then later on, you as human beings, spread all over the world. |
|
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
|
21- |
And it is of His Signs that He created
spouses for you from your own kind and mentality, so that you would find peace and calm by your mate and He caused love and kindness between you. In this (manifestation and setup,) there are points and messages for the kind of people who like to reflect and think. |
|
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّلْعَالِمِينَ |
|
22- |
Also among His signs of Might is the Creation
of the heavens (the galaxies) and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Certainly in this wonder, there are messages and signs of His Majesty for people of good knowledge. |
|
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ مَنَامُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاؤُكُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ |
|
23- |
And among His signs, is your sleep at night
and by daytime and your ability to seek of His Bounty (for your
livelihood). Certainly in this (setup of cycle of rest and striving,) there are wonders for people who have the ability to listen. |
|
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَيُحْيِي بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ |
|
24- |
Also among His signs of Might is that He
shows you the lightning, causing both fear and hope and sends down water from the sky, then He brings the earth back to life after it had been lifeless. In this phenomenon, there are certainly signs of His Might for people who use their reason. |
|
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَن تَقُومَ السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ إِذَا أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ |
|
25- |
And among His Signs of Might is that the sky
and the earth are maintained in balance by His Command; then also when He calls you with a single call to come out of the earth, then, you all emerge out of earth. (to submit to His Presence and Judgment). |
|
وَلَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ كُلٌّ لَّهُ قَانِتُونَ |
|
26- |
And to Him belongs every being that is in the heavens (the galaxies) and on the earth; all obey His Design and Plan. |
|
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَهُ الْمَثَلُ الْأَعْلَى فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
|
27- |
And He is the One Who creates (all life) in
the first place, then brings it forth again and that is
absolutely
easy for Him, as to Him belongs the highest example of Might in the creation of the heavens (the galaxies) and the earth and He Alone is the All Mighty, All Wise. |
|
ضَرَبَ لَكُم
مَّثَلًا مِنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ
أَيْمَانُكُم مِّن شُرَكَاء فِي مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ |
|
28- |
He gives you an example from (the daily life
of) yourselves. Do you regard some of those individuals upon whom you achieved your right upper hand (who are your servants), to be as your partners in whatever We have provided for you, so that you would be equal partners in that (wealth with them), in a way that you would respect and face them same as you fear and respect your equals? We explain the Words of Revelation this way for people who understand by reasoning. 3 |
|
بَلِ اتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَهْوَاءهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَمَن يَهْدِي مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ |
|
29- |
Yet those who are unreasonable and unjust (in
their thinking), simply follow their own desires without any (reasoning by) knowledge. As a result, who can guide those whom God let them be in their error? And they won’t have any helper to help them. |
|
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا فِطْرَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ |
|
30- |
Therefore straighten up your face and
attitude towards the true religion, which is a natural tendency that God placed in people (to become conscious of and adore Him). There is no way to alter God's creation. This (natural tendency to worship only God) is the upright everlasting religion, yet most people are not aware of it. |
|
مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ |
|
31- |
Turn always unto Him and be conscious of Him
and establish regular prayers and never be one of those who imagine partners (to God). |
|
مِنَ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ |
|
32- |
Do not be of those who split their religion
and have become members of sects, each party being happy with whatever beliefs they have (without giving it a second thought). |
|
وَإِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ |
|
33- |
And so is that when a disaster or harm
touches people, they call their Lord, turning to Him again, but then when He lets them have a taste of His Mercy, then some of them confuse and associate others with their Lord (Who in fact saved them and granted them the Grace), |
|
لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ فَتَمَتَّعُوا فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
|
34- |
In a way that they become ungrateful for what
We have granted them. Enjoy now or a while, but in time you will know (the truth). |
|
أَمْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانًا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوا بِهِ يُشْرِكُونَ |
|
35- |
Have We ever sent down any authorization to them which speaks approval of what they associate (in Divinity with Us)? |
|
وَإِذَا أَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً فَرِحُوا بِهَا وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُونَ |
|
36- |
And when We let people taste some of Our
Grace,
they rejoice in it and if a harm hits them, because of their own previous acts, then they become hopeless (in God’s Grace). |
|
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
|
37- |
Don’t they notice that God is the One, Who grants abundance or gives sustenance in limited amount to whomever He wills? In this observation, there are lessons for people who believe (in God’s will and Grace). |
|
فَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَى حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ |
|
38- |
Therefore do give to the close relative his
or her due, as well as to the needy and to the traveler in
distress. This is best for those who desire God’s Satisfaction and those are the ones who will be successful. |
|
وَمَا آتَيْتُم مِّن رِّبًا لِّيَرْبُوَ فِي أَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُو عِندَ اللَّهِ وَمَا آتَيْتُم مِّن زَكَاةٍ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُضْعِفُونَ |
|
39- |
And what you give as interest (usury), to
increase in the wealth of (other, usury taking) people, that does not increase anything for you in the Sight of God, but what you give in charity, seeking God's Satisfaction, those will be rewarded many times over. |
|
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَائِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَلِكُم مِّن شَيْءٍ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ |
|
40- |
God is the One Who created you, also He has given you your provision and livelihood, then He causes you to die, then He brings you back to life (at Resurrection time). Are any of your supposed associates (to God) able to do any of that? Glory to Him, He is Beyond and High above all which they associate (to Him in Divinity). |
|
ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ |
|
41- |
Corruption and mischief has appeared on land
and on the sea because of what people's own hands and acts have brought about, so as a consequence, He (God) will let them taste the result of some of the things that they did, so that they might (wake up and) return to the right path. |
|
قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ |
|
42- |
(O Muhammad) Say to them: “Travel about on
the earth and see what and how was the end of those who were alive before you, most of which were idolaters (assumed other beings to have divine powers, besides God)”. |
|
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ الْقَيِّمِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصَّدَّعُونَ |
|
43- |
Therefore, pay total attention to the most
upright and everlasting religion (to worship only One True God) ,
before the Day comes, in which there is no getting away from its existence, by the presence of God, in which Day, they all shall be separated in lines (according to their belief and their deeds). |
|
مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ |
|
44- |
Whoever disbelieves (suppresses or hides the
truth from himself), his disbelief will be against him
and all those who have been doing good deeds (to improve the society), they are preparing a good place and benefits (as rewards from God) for themselves. |
|
لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِن فَضْلِهِ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ |
|
45- |
So that He will reward those who believed
and did righteous deeds, from His Grace. But of course He does not like the ungrateful and the disbelievers. |
|
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَن يُرْسِلَ الرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَاتٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِن فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |
|
46- |
And among His signs (of Power and Mercy) is that He
sends the winds as good news (for rain to come) and to give you a taste of His Grace and that (by the winds,) the ships may sail by His Decree and that (by these means of wind and rain for agriculture and commerce) you may seek of His Bounties and that you may become grateful (for all the blessings). |
|
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاؤُوهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
|
47- |
And indeed (O Muhammad) We did send Messengers before
you to their own people, they (the Messengers) came to them with clear Messages, but then (because they kept denying), We retaliated on those who committed crimes, since it has always been a deserving right from Us to help the believers. |
|
اللَّهُ
الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُهُ فِي
السَّمَاء كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ وَيَجْعَلُهُ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى |
|
48- |
God is the One Who sends the winds, so
that they raise clouds (from bodies of water, rivers, lakes,
seas etc), then He spreads them in the sky the way He wants and makes them into concentrated pieces, then you see the rain drops coming down from their layers. Then whenever He makes it (the clouds) rain on whichever of His servants He wants, they then become happy, |
|
وَإِن كَانُوا مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِ لَمُبْلِسِينَ |
|
49- |
Even though they were really in despair and hopelessness before it was sent down to them. |
|
فَانظُرْ إِلَى آثَارِ رَحْمَتِ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |
|
50- |
So look at the effects, resulting from
the Grace of God, how He revives the earth after it was dead. Certainly the (Almighty God, who brings the dead earth back to life,) of course, He will bring the dead back to life (at Resurrection) and He is Capable over all things and matters. |
|
وَلَئِنْ أَرْسَلْنَا رِيحًا فَرَأَوْهُ مُصْفَرًّا لَّظَلُّوا مِن بَعْدِهِ يَكْفُرُونَ |
|
51- |
And if We send a hot wind, after which
they see their greenery turn yellow, they become ungrateful after all that blessing. |
|
فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَى وَلَا تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَاء إِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ |
|
52- |
Certainly you (Muhammad) can not
make the dead to listen or the deaf to listen to the call of guidance when they have turned their backs (away from the truth). |
|
وَمَا أَنتَ بِهَادِي الْعُمْيِ عَن ضَلَالَتِهِمْ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ |
|
53- |
Also you are unable to be guiding the
blind-hearted from their deviations. Only those who believe in Our Revelations, and so they submit themselves to the Truth as Muslims, you can have them listen to you. |
|
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعْفًا وَشَيْبَةً يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْقَدِيرُ |
|
54- |
God is the One, Who created you from a state of
weakness (as a baby), then He gave you strength after weakness, then again, He gave you weakness and old age after strength. He creates what He wills and He is the All Knowing, the All Powerful Planner. |
|
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ كَذَلِكَ كَانُوا يُؤْفَكُونَ |
|
55- |
And the Day when the time (of Resurrection)
arrives, the guilty ones will swear that they spent no more than an hour (on earth and in the grave), this is how they used to fake and reverse the truth to themselves. |
|
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَالْإِيمَانَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ فَهَذَا يَوْمُ الْبَعْثِ وَلَكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ |
|
56- |
And those who have been granted knowledge
and faith will say: ”You have indeed stayed till the Day of Resurrection, according to the Design and the Decision of God. Now then this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not know”. |
|
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ |
|
57- |
So on that Day, those who did wrong and
injustice, their excuse will not help them, nor will they be even allowed to seek a remedy or forgiveness. |
|
وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِآيَةٍ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ |
|
58- |
And indeed We have presented in this
Quran all kinds of examples of situations, however, if you (Muhammad) bring them any sign of revelation, those who disbelieve, will surely say: ”You have nothing to show but falsehood”. |
|
كَذَلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ |
|
59- |
Thus does God seals off the hearts of those who ultimately end up not knowing the truth. |
|
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ |
|
60- |
So be patient, as the promise of God
is certainly true and don’t let those who are not certain about
the revelation, discourage you (from your mission). |

The area where the Romans
were defeated by the Persians, was near the Dead sea in
Palestine, which is at the lowest altitude. This statement of the
fact is a miracle of the Quran, since at that time when these
Verses were revealed, there was no altimeter to show the lowest
altitude and only God knew it

This is another miracle of the Quran, predicting the victory of
the Romans after their devastating defeat and only God knew what
will happen and that at the same period , the believers (in the
Quran) would also be happy after their triumph over the pagan
Meccans who kept attacting them.

Then why do you assume partners to God in His creation,
possession and control of the Universe?
