Translation of the Holy Quran by Dr.
Gilani |
Explained in
Details - Chapter
41
|
Contains 54 Verses – Mecca |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious the
Most Merciful |
|
|
2- |
This is a Revelation from the Most
Gracious, the Most Merciful. |
|
3- |
A Book (Scripture), the Messages and
Verses of which are explained in details,
Quran,
as a reading in Arabic
for people of knowledge, |
|
4- |
Giving good news (to the good ones) and
warning (to the bad ones).
Yet most of them turn away, so that they
do not hear it (since they don’t want to hear it). |
|
5- |
And they said: “Our hearts are immune from
what you call us to and our ears are deaf (to your message)
and
there is a (mental) screen-barrier between us and you,
so you do
what you want and we are doing our things”. |
|
6- |
(O Muhammad) Say: “I am only a human being
like you,
with the fact that has been revealed to me that your
True God is One God (not more),
therefore strive to become upright persons towards Him (in His
Cause),
and ask His Forgiveness;
as it will be too bad for those
who assume others as His partners (and worship them also)”. |
|
|
7- |
Those same people who do not give in charity and
they deny and reject the Hereafter Life. |
|
8- |
As for those who do believe (in the One
God and the Hereafter and the Messages of God)
and do righteous
good deeds, they will have endless reward. |
|
9- |
Say: “Do you really disbelieve in the One,
Who created the earth in two periods and you assume and set up
rivals with Him?
It is God, Who is the Lord of the worlds and all that
exist”. |
|
10- |
He also set high above it mountains and
He blessed it and gave in it its due measures,
its potentials and sustenance in four periods;
that is a proper answer for
those who ask (questions about the Creation).
1 |
|
11- |
Furthermore He gave form to the
sky
when it was still as smoke (nebula)
and commanded it
and the
earth: “Come together in harmony willingly or unwillingly”.
They
both practically said: “We came (into being) obedient, willingly”. |
|
12- |
He then decided for it (the sky) to be in
seven (layer) skies, during two periods
2
and He inspired to each sky its particular function.
We also have adorned the sky over this
earth beautifully with the starlight
and made it as a protection
(for earthly being, from excessive heat, radiation etc).
That is
the decree of the Almighty, the All Knowing. |
|
13- |
But if (despite all these explanations)
they still turn away, then tell them:
“I have warned you of a
thunderbolt-crushing type punishment
like the one which hit the
people of Aad and Thamood”.
3 |
|
14- |
As the Messengers (of God) came to them
from front and behind them (at their time and before them),
telling them that: “You should not
worship anyone except God”.
They said: “If God wanted, He would
surely have sent angels down (to tell us).
So we reject indeed
what you have been sent for”. |
|
15- |
As for the Aad folks, they were arrogant
in the land without any right or reason and they even said:
“Who
is more powerful than us?”
Did they not realize that God, who
created them, He is More Powerful than them?
They also kept
disputing and arguing about Our Messages. |
|
16- |
So We sent a furious persistent wind upon
them for awful days,
to let them taste the humiliating suffering
in the life of this world,
but the suffering of the Hereafter will be
definitely more humiliating on them and they will never be
helped. |
|
17- |
As for the Thamood people, We showed them
the right path, but then they preferred blindness to guidance,
so the thunderbolt-type crushing and humiliating punishment seized
them, because of what they had earned and deserved. |
|
18- |
And We saved those who believed and were
mindful (of God) |
|
19- |
And the Day when the enemies of God will
be gathered towards the Fire (of Hell),
they will be placed in rows to advanced, |
|
20- |
Till they all reach it (the Fire), at
which time their ears,
their eyes and their skins will testify
against them regarding the things which they used to do. |
|
21- |
And they will say to their skins: “Why
did you testify against us?”
They will answer, saying: “God has
caused us to speak, the One Who causes all those who speak
and
He created you in the first time and to Him you are made to
return.” |
|
22- |
“And even if you wanted, you could not hide or stop that your
hearing (ears), your eyes,
or your skin would testify against
you,
since you thought that God was not aware of much of what you
were doing.” |
|
23- |
“And that assumption of yours which you
thought about your Lord has brought you to ruin
and you have
become the losers.” |
|
24- |
Then if they tolerate it (or not), the
Fire will be their home.
And if they would try to please God by trying to ask for
forgiveness,
they will not be allowed to. |
|
25- |
And We let (evil) close companions be
with them (during their life),
which made their present way of life and their past deeds seem
fair to them
and
so the Word of Judgment against them became justified and
realized,
just as it was regarding those groups who disbelieved before them among
the Jinn and mankind.
Indeed they all became losers. |
|
26- |
And those who disbelieve, tell others:
“Don’t listen to this Quran and make noise and say some
nonsense, while it is being
read, so that you may prevail.” |
|
27- |
But surely, We shall cause those who
disbelieve to taste a severe suffering
and We shall punish them
to the worst of what they used to do. |
|
28- |
That is the punishment for the enemies of
God which is the Fire.
Their eternal home will be in that, as a
punishment for their challenging Our Messages and Our
Revelations. |
|
29- |
And the disbelievers will say: “Our Lord,
show us those of Jinns and men who led us astray,
that we may
crush them under our feet so they become the lowest”. |
|
30- |
Certainly those who say: “Our Lord is God
Alone and they also stand firm in their conviction,
the angels
will descend on them, saying: “Don’t fear and don’t be sad.
But
be happy to the good news of Paradise which you have been
promised”. |
|
31- |
“We have been your friends in your
worldly life and in the Hereafter.
And in there (in the
Paradise), all that you personally desire, you shall have
and
you shall have there anything that you would ask for.” |
|
32- |
"A gift sent down from the Very Forgiving,
Most Merciful.” |
|
33- |
And whose speech is better than the speech of
a person
who calls and prays on to God
and calls others to God and does
righteous good works and says: “I am one of the Muslims”. |
|
34- |
Also (bear in mind that) good behavior is
not equal with evil conduct.
Confront (evil words and acts) with
the best of manner,
so that the person, which between you and
him, there is an animosity, will become like a close
friend. |
|
35- |
But none reaches that status except those who
are patient
and none reaches that status except those who have a great
personality. |
|
36- |
Also whenever an evil whisper (temptation
to evil) from Satan tries to get you away (from goodness),
then
immediately seek refuge to God.
Because He is surely the
All Hearer, the All Knowing (He is the One Who knows well how to
make things right). |
|
37- |
And from among His signs (of Majesty) are
the night and the day, the sun and the moon.
Do not ever
prostrate yourself down to worship the sun or the moon,
but do
prostrate yourself (forehead on the ground) to (worship) God,
Who created all of them,
if you are the worshipper of Him. |
|
38- |
But if they are too proud (to do so,
should know) then that those who are close to God and who are at His
service,
glorify Him night and day and they
never tire of doing it. |
|
39- |
And from His signs (of Power) is that you
see the land barren down,
but when We pour down rain water on
it, it comes up to life with vegetation.
Certainly the One who
gives life to it, of course He is capable to give life to the dead.
Indeed He is Capable to do all things. |
|
40- |
Surely those who talk against Our Verses,
and distort their meaning, are not hidden from Us.
Is the
person who will be thrown into the Fire better or the one who
comes secured on the Day of Resurrection?
Do what you please.
Surely He is All Observing over all that you do. |
|
41- |
Certainly those who disbelieved in the
Reminder (the Quran) when it reached them (must know that,)
it is indeed a Book with powerful Messages. |
|
42- |
No falsehood can approach it, neither
now, nor in the future.
It is all a granted down to mankind from
the All Wise, the One Worthy of all praise (for His Kindness). |
|
43- |
Nothing is said to you except that which was
said to the Messengers before you;
(that worship only The One God, the Creator and believe in the
Hereafter and do righteous good works).
Indeed your Lord is the Authority for Forgiveness
(for those who are good)
and also for painful punishment (for those committing evil
deeds). |
|
44- |
Had We presented it (the Quran) as a
reading in a foreign language (other than Arabic), they would
have said:
“Why are its Messages, its Verses not fully explained?
A
book in a foreign language, while the Messenger is an Arab?”
Say: “It is a guidance and a means of healing (of hearts) for
those who believe in;
but those who do not believe in it, there
is a heaviness in their ears (because they do not want to listen
to it)
and it is as if it is not visible to them (because they
don’t want to see it)
and as if they are being called from a faraway place. |
|
45- |
Of course We did send the Book (Torah) to
Moses, then disagreement occurred about its content.
And had it
not been for the Word of your Lord (to give them further chance
to improve themselves),
Our Judgment would have overwhelmed
them,
but they are still truly in doubt about it with much
misgivings in its meaning. |
|
46- |
Whoever does any good deed, does so for
his own benefit and whoever does evil, that will go against him.
And your Lord is not cruel to His servants (creatures) at all. |
|
47- |
The knowledge about the Hour (and time of
Resurrection) could only be directed to Him,
same as no fruits
come out of their sheaths and budding
and no female conceives
nor delivers offspring except by His knowledge.
And so is on the
Day when He calls (the idol worshippers):
“Where are My
(supposed) partners (whom you worshipped besides Me)?”
They will say: “We present and confess to You
that none of us has any evidence or witness
(to that false assumption we had).” |
|
48- |
And all those whom they used to pray to
before,
disappear from them, and they realize that they have no
exit (from their situation). |
|
49- |
Humankind does not get tired from praying
for good things,
but if a bad thing happens to him (or her),
then he (or she) loses hope and gets lost in despair. |
|
50- |
And in fact, if We give him a taste of
Mercy from Us after an adversity had occurred to him, he would
claim:
“This is my own doing and I don’t think the Hour of
Judgment will ever be established
and even if I am taken back to
my Lord, surely I will have good record and standing with Him".
But We will certainly explain to the disbelievers what they did
