Gilani |
(The letter) Qaf - Chapter
50
|
Contains 45 verses – Mecca |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
ق
|
1- |
Qaaf.
Consider the glorious Quran. |
|
2- |
Indeed, they (the disbelievers) wondered that
a warner arose from amongst themselves,
so the disbelievers said: “This is a strange thing”, |
|
3- |
"That when we are dead and have become dust, (we
are ever resurrected)?
That is a return far (from our understanding)”. |
|
4- |
We certainly know all the ingredients of them
(their bodies) that the earth receives,
and We have a Book, recording all the details. |
|
5- |
Yet they denied off the truth when it reached
them (by God’s Messenger, without studying it)
so they are in a confused, uncertain state. |
|
6- |
Don’t they look at the sky above them, how We
made it and made it beautiful and it has no cracks or holes? |
|
7- |
And the earth, We spread it out and set
mountains in it firmly,
and on it, We made grow all kinds of
lovely plants, |
|
8- |
As a means of insight and a reminder for any
servant (a good believer) whose mind often turns to God. |
|
9- |
And We sent down blessed water (as rain, snow
etc) and by that We then produce gardens and harvest-grains.
|
|
10- |
And tall date-palms branches with their thickly
clustered dates, |
|
11- |
As means of livelihood for the servants
(creatures) and by that, We give life to a dead land.
Thus shall be the resurrection (of yours from the dead). |
|
12- |
Before them (the disbelievers who denied the
truth of the Quran) the people of the Noah,
the inhabitants of Rass and Thamood als denied (the Messages of
God). |
|
13- |
Also the people of Aad, the Pharaoh and the
brothers of Lot, |
|
14- |
And the inhabitants of the woods (of Madyan)
and the people of Tubba;
each of these folks denied the Messengers and called then liars,
so the Promise of Punishment then was fulfilled and justified
(on them). |
|
15- |
Did We get tired with the original first
creation?
Not so, but they (the nonbelievers) are still in doubt about a
new creation (the Resurrection). |
|
16- |
And indeed We have created humankind and We
know well what his or her own self suggests
and tempts to him or her, for We are closer to him or her than
their jugular veins (knowing mankind quite well). |
|
17- |
Consider that as the two opposing
entities (of suggestions the forces of
good and evil),
one approaching from the right and one from the left, remaining
and sitting in that position, |
|
18- |
Not a word or sentence does he or she
pronounce
unless there is an observer (angel) close by each person, ready
to record. |
|
19- |
Then ultimately the unconsciousness and the
coma of the death actually arrives,
(mentioning to the dying person:) “That is what you have been
trying to avoid”. |
|
20- |
And when the Trumpet (of Resurrection) will
be blown, that will be the Day, which was so often promised. |
|
21- |
And every person shall be coming forth with a
guiding entity (angel) and with a witnessing entity (angel). |
|
22- |
(The sinners will be told:) “You really were
careless and negligent about this.
We have now removed your covering from your perception, so now
on this Day, your vision is sharp”. |
|
23- |
And his companion (the angel) will say: “This
record which is (about you) with me, has always been ready”.
|
|
24- |
(God will say, as it will be heard:) “(Both
of you angels) throw each and every hostile denier of truth into
the Hell”. |
|
25- |
“Those obstructing goodness, which were the
trespassers (of God’s Law)
and doubters who caused doubt in people hearts (about God's
religion)” |
|
26- |
“Who assumed other god along with God. So
throw that one into a severe punishment”. |
|
27- |
That person’s companion will say:
“Our Lord, I did not force him to trespass the rules, but he
himself was in a far off error”. |
|
28- |
God will say: “Do not dispute in My Audience,
I had already sent you the promise of this appointment in
advance”. |
|
29- |
The sentence from Me does not change and I am
not unjust to the servants (creatures)”. |
|
30- |
(Consider) The Day when We will say to the
Hell: “Have you been filled up?”
And it will say: “Are there any more to come?”. |
|
31- |
And the Garden (of Paradise) has been
close for the God-conscious pious persons, which is not far
away. |
|
32- |
They will be told: “This is what you had been
promised,
it is for all those who have been very often remembering and
turning to God
and keeps observing and adhering carefully (to His Commands)”. |
|
33- |
“Those who were in awe of the Most Gracious
in secret
and came forth with a heart full of humility and repentance (to
Him)”. |
|
34- |
“Enter it (in Paradise) in peace. This
is the Day for eternal life”. |
|
35- |
There they will have anything they desire, and
in Our Audience, there is much more Bliss. |
|
36- |
And consider how many past generations (of
evil people) We destroyed,
who were mightier in confrontation than those (people of Mecca)
and they ran in the lands for their life (to escape),
but was there any place of refuge? |
|
37- |
Certainly in this story, there is a lesson
for the person who has an understanding heart or listens
carefully
while being a concerned witness (to the current situation). |
|
38- |
And indeed We have created the heavens and
the earth and whatever in between them,
in six periods of time and no fatigue ever affected Us. |
|
39- |
So bear with patience (O Muhammad) on what
they say (against you).
Also glorify your Lord with gratitude before sunrise and before
sunset. |
|
40- |
And during part of the night, praise Him also
(including during the evening and night prayer)
and after prostrations. |
|
41- |
And listen on the Day when the caller will
call from a nearby place. |
|
42- |
The Day when they will hear a massive sound
for the realization of the truth.
That will be the Day of getting out of the graves (the Day or
Resurrection). |
|
43- |
In fact We give life and cause death and the
final return of all is to Us. |
|
44- |
The Day when the earth shall be split from
above them, they will hastily come out of graves.
That will be the Gathering, which is quite easy for Us. |
|
45- |
We know well what they say and you are not
supposed to force them to believe.
But do remind (mankind) by the Quran, those who fear the promise
(of Resurrection). |
|
