The
Scattering Winds -
Chapter 51
|
Contains 60 verses – Mecca |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
1- |
Consider those (winds), which scatter (dust). |
2- |
And those (winds) which carry heavy (clouds).
|
3- |
And those (breezes) which move gently. |
|
4- |
And those (winds) which distribute plenty by the Command (of God, by distributing rains and other
blessings). |
|
5- |
Certainly that which you are being promised
(the Resurrection), is of course truthful. |
|
6- |
And that surely what the Religion of Islam
says (about the Judgment Day,) is going to take place. |
|
7- |
Consider the sky which has
pathways (which you don’t see), |
|
8- |
Of course you have different opinions and
sayings. |
|
9- |
Only the perverted cast-off (from God’s
Mercy) considers or calls it a fabrication. |
10- |
Death (of integrity will) be upon the liars, |
|
11- |
Those who behave carelessly in a state of
heedlessness (carelessness). |
|
12- |
They ask: “When will this Day of Religion
(Judgment) occur?” |
|
13- |
It will be the Day when they will be tried
over Fire. |
|
14- |
(They will be told) “Now taste (the result
of) your trial, this is what you kept
asking for with a hurry". |
|
15- |
(Contrary to them,) The pious persons will be
in the Gardens and by the Springs (of Paradise). |
|
16- |
Receiving what their Lord granted them.
They were before good doing people (on earth). |
|
17- |
They used to sleep only little by night
(frequently praying to God). |
|
18- |
And in the early hours before down, they used
to ask God for forgiveness. |
|
19- |
And in their possessions, there was a
rightful amount of charity for the beggars and the poor and the
deprived. |
|
20- |
And observing the earth, there are many signs
(of God’s Majesty) for people who have faith with certainty. |
|
21- |
And in your own beings also (, there are many
Signs of God's creation).
Don’t you see? |
|
22- |
And in the sky is your provision
(such as rain, etc) and what you are being promised. |
|
23- |
So by the Lord of the sky and the earth,
it (the Promise of God) is certainly the truth, just as real as
you can speak. |
|
24- |
Did the details of the story of the honored
guests of Abraham reach you? |
|
25- |
When they entered his place and said: “Salam
= Peace to you)”.
He answered: “Salam, but you are unknown to me”. |
|
26- |
He then went to his family and brought a
roasted fatted calf (veal). |
|
27- |
And placed it near them (when he noted that
they were not eating),
he said: “Aren’t you going to eat?” |
|
28- |
Then he got afraid of them.
They said: “Don’t be afraid”.
And they also gave him the good news that he will have a very
knowledgeable son (in the near future). |
|
29- |
His wife approached with a shout, she gently
hit her face and she said:
“(How could an) Old childless woman (bear a child)?”. |
|
30- |
They (the angelic honored guests) said:
“So it will be, as your Lord said (that you will have a son).
He indeed is the All Wise, knowing it all”. |
|
31- |
He (Abraham) said: “Then for what mission are
you here, you messengers?”. |
|
32- |
They said: “We have been sent to a sinful
people”. |
|
33- |
To send down upon them clay rocks”. |
|
34- |
Marked specifically by your Lord for the
excessive trespassers (of God’s Commandments)”. |
|
35- |
Therefore We brought out all the believers
from there. |
|
36- |
But We did not find any but only one Muslims’ house
(except that of Lot and his daughters). |
|
37- |
And We left there a sign (ruins) as a
reminder for those who fear painful punishment. |
|
38- |
And in the story of Moses, there is a
reminder,
as We sent him to the Pharaoh with an evident means of authority
(by the Miracle). |
|
39- |
But he (the Pharaoh) turned away on his
thrown and said: “(calling Moses) A sorcerer or a mad man”. |
|
40- |
Therefore We took him and his armies and
dumped them in the sea and he was deserving the blame. |
|
41- |
Also in the story of Aad (people, there is a
reminder), when We sent a steady dry barren wind against them. |
|
42- |
It did not spare anything, kept on blowing at
it, till it made it like into broken pieces of bones . |
|
43- |
And the story of Thamood (,there is also a
lesson), as they were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a little
while”. |
|
44- |
But they purposely disobeyed the Command of
their Lord,
so the lightning thunderbolt took them, while they were watching
it. |
|
45- |
Then they could not even get up, nor could
they help themselves or get help. |
|
46- |
Also in the story of Noah, before them. They
were indeed disobedient evildoing folks. |
|
47- |
We build the sky (space) with Our Might and
indeed We are
expanding it.
1 |
|
48- |
And the earth, We spread, with covered (with
meadows, sands etc)
and how excellent We have spread (it) for ease and rest (of the
creatures). |
|
49- |
And of every thing, We have created pairs, (or
opposites) so that you may remember (the meaning, the reason). |
|
|
50- |
Therefore always flee to God (in every
situation, quickly ask God for help).
(Say :) “I (Muhammad) am truly a warner from Him for you”. |
|
51- |
“And don’t ever assume any other god or
anything worthy of worship along with God.
I am truly a warner from Him for you”. |
|
52- |
It has always been like that, not even a
single Messenger came to them, but that they said (and called
him):
“A sorcerer or a madman”. |
|
53- |
Did they (people of the past) suggest this
expression to those (people)?
Not really. They themselves are a rebellions bunch. |
|
54- |
So (O Muhammad,) turn away from them (the
disbelievers who do not want to listen to the truth),
you are not to be blamed (for their behavior). |
|
55- |
Yet do remind, for in fact reminding and
preaching helps the believers. |
|
56- |
And I did not creat the Jinn and mankind,
except that they should worship Me (follow My Guidance). |
|
57- |
I do not intend to demand any provision from
them (from My creatures)
and I don’t ask that they would feed Me (I am the One Who gives them their
provisions and food). |
|
58- |
In reality God is the All Provider, Mighty
and the Most Strong. |
|
59- |
Certainly the punishment of those who did
injustice by committing sins, will be like the punishment for
the sins of their comrades and the people like them. Therefore
they should not hurry (to receive the promised punishment).
|
|
60- |
Woe to those who deny the truth
from (the verdict of) their Day (of court after Resurrection),
which they have been promised. |
1
This fact is one of the most spectacular Miracles of
the Holy Quran, which over 1400 years ago was mentioned by God,
which just recently has been proven by astrophysics that "the
universe is expanding".
