Gilani |
The Mount (Sinai) -
Chapter 52
|
Contains 49 verses – Medina |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
1- |
Consider 'Tur' (what happened on the Mount Sinai), |
2- |
And the Book written in lines, |
3- |
In a sheet, spread out, |
4- |
And consider the frequently visited House of
worship (Kaa'ba), |
5- |
And the highly raised ceiling of it (and the
high ceiling of the sky),
|
6- |
And the stormy sea full of swells, |
|
7- |
That the punishment of your Lord (upon evil
ones) will definitely occur, |
8- |
No force could hold it back, |
|
9- |
The day when sky will tremble violently,
|
|
10- |
And the mountains will start moving strongly
and fast, |
|
11- |
On that day woe to those who call the Word of
God as lies, |
|
12- |
Those who are playfully disputing and
challenging (the Quran), |
|
13- |
The Day when they (the evildoers) will be
forcefully dragged towards the fire (of Hell), |
|
14- |
(The angels of Hell will tell them:) "This
is the fire which you used to deny and call it a lie". |
|
15- |
"Is this is also a magic? or (are you blind
and) can not see?" |
|
16- |
"Get in there now, it does not matter
if you are patient or not, it is the same to you.
Of course you are being punished only according to what you had
been doing". |
|
17- |
But the pious people will be in Gardens (of
Paradise), full of blessings. |
|
18- |
They are happy for what their Lord gave them
and for the fact that their Lord kept them away from the
suffering of Hell. |
|
19- |
(They will be told:) "Eat and drink with
pleasure,
as the result of what you had been doing (during your lifetime
on earth). |
|
20- |
They will be sitting on couches laid in
parallel to each other
and We will have them marry with beautiful-eyed spouses. |
|
21- |
And those who have believed and their
believing descendents, We will join their offspring to them
and We shall not reduce not even a bit of their deeds.
Everyone
will be responsible for the result of his own deeds. |
|
22- |
And We will extend to them delicious fruits
and meats from the kind that they like. |
|
23- |
There they will take cups of drinks from each
other, in which there is no idle talk, nor any sin. |
|
24- |
And young men-servants will go around serving
them, appearing to them as pure as genuine pearls. |
|
25- |
And they (the blessed people) get close to
one another asking one another, |
|
26- |
Saying: “We were before amongst our
families, anxious and afraid (about our destiny).” |
|
27- |
“But then God has been Gracious to us and
He saved us from the blowing Fire’s suffering.” |
|
28- |
“We used to ask Him before (for Forgiveness
and Mercy).
He is really so Nice, Most Merciful.” |
|
29- |
So you (Muhammad), do remind and educate
people,
but by the
Blessing of your Lord, your are neither a fortune teller, nor a mad man. |
|
30- |
Or else they say: “(Muhammad is) a poet; which
we hope and expect a deserving calamity to fall upon him”. |
|
31- |
Say: “Wait, I am also waiting along with you”. |
|
32- |
Do their bad dreams make them to have this
kind of behavior or are they just a rebellious bunch of people? |
|
33- |
Or that they say: “He (Muhammad) composed it
(the Quran)”
But they really don’t believe in that. |
|
34- |
Then let them try to produce an article or
saying, similar to that (the Quran) if they are being serious
and truthful. |
|
35- |
Were they (who deny the
existence of God, imagine that they were) created by no one or
from nothing at
all (by no creator)?
Or are they
the creators? |
|
36- |
Or did they create the heavens and the earth?
Of course not.
They just are not certain in any belief or faith. |
|
37- |
Or do they own the treasures of your Lord?
Or
are they some authorities who do as they please. |
|
38- |
Or do they have means of ascending and communications, by
which they listen (to the angels)?
If so, then their listener
must show an obvious proof. |
|
39- |
Or (they imagine) that He (God) has daughters
(as they paint angels as females)
and that you (people) should
have only sons? |
|
40- |
Or as if you are asking them for a salary, so they
are burdened with a heavy debt? |
|
41- |
Or they know the unseen truth, so they write
it down? |
|
42- |
Or that they intend a plot?
But then these
disbelievers are being the subjects of their own plotting, they
are being plotted against. |
|
43- |
Or that they assume a god other than the One
God.
Glory to God, Who is above and beyond all what they
associate to Him. |
|
44- |
And (their judgment is so poor that) if they
would see a piece of heavenly body falling down,
they would say:
“It is all heaped cumulus clouds”. |
|
45- |
(Since they can not be educated,) leave them
to themselves till they reach their Day (of Judgment)
in which
they faint down (with humility and horror), as if struck by a
lightning. |
|
46- |
The Day, when their tricks and plotting shall
be of no use to them, nor shall they have any help. |
|
47- |
And for those who have done injustice, there
shall be more suffering to come beyond this doom,
but most of
them don’t know it. |
|
48- |
So you (Muhammad) wait patiently for the
Decision and Verdict of your Lord,
as you in fact are under Our
Supervision and do glorify (pray to) your Lord upon rising up
(from sleep). |
|
49- |
Also during the night time, glorify Him, and at the setting of the stars. |
|
|
