The Most Gracious - Chapter 55
|

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
1- |
The Most Gracious (God), |
2- |
He has taught the Quran |
3- |
He has created humankind. |
4- |
He has taught him speech. |
الشَّمْسُ
وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ |
|
5- |
The sun and the moon are running their
defined courses. |
وَالنَّجْمُ
وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ |
|
6- |
And (the unfolding) stars and the
trees (plants) prostrate (to His Majesty). |
وَالسَّمَاء
رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ |
|
7- |
And as to the heaven, He raised it up high
and He set up the balance and order. |
أَلَّا
تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ |
|
8- |
So that you should not trespass the balance
and the order. |
وَأَقِيمُوا
الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ |
|
9- |
Also observe the weighing of merchandise
fairly
and do not make the client buyer lose at the scale (do not cheat
short at sale). |
وَالْأَرْضَ
وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ |
|
10- |
And He has made the earth fit for the
creatures. |
فِيهَا
فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ |
|
11- |
With fruits such as date-palm, having
sheathed clusters. |
وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ |
|
12- |
And grain with tall growing stalks (for
feeding animals) and nice-smelling plants and herbs. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
13- |
So which favors of your Lord do you both (man
and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny?

خَلَقَ
الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ |
|
14- |
He created humankind from clay, similar to
pottery. |
وَخَلَقَ
الْجَانَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ |
|
15- |
And He created Jinn (invisible beings) from
moving rays of fire. |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
16- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
رَبُّ
الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ |
|
17- |
The Lord of the two easts and the two wests.
2 |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
18- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
مَرَجَ
الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ |
|
19- |
He let the two seas merge, by joining together
(such as the Nile delta with sweat water entering into the Mediterranean salt water). |
بَيْنَهُمَا
بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ |
|
20- |
Between them is a median area, which the two
do not get to change (their quality)
(such is at all river deltas into the salt water seas or
oceans). |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
21- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
يَخْرُجُ
مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ |
|
22- |
Pearls and corals come out of both of them. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
23- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
وَلَهُ
الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ
|
|
24- |
And His are the ships, smoothly sailing,
towering up at the sea like mountains. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
25- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
كُلُّ مَنْ
عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ |
|
26- |
All those on it (the earth) shall pass away
and are
perishable. |
وَيَبْقَى
وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ |
|
27- |
But forever will remain the Ever-Present
Being of your Lord,
Full of Majesty, Glory and Generosity. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
28- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
يَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَالْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ |
|
29- |
All beings in the heavens and the earth
depend on Him and ask Him for their needs,
as He is in charge every day, all the time. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
30- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
سَنَفْرُغُ
لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا الثَّقَلَانِ |
|
31- |
O you the two important groups, We shall take you to
task. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
32- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both disregard and deny? |
يَا مَعْشَرَ
الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ
أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا لَا تَنفُذُونَ
إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ |
|
33- |
O you the community of Jinns and Humans,
if you gain the capability to penetrate beyond in the regions and
zones of the heavens and the earth,
then try to penetrate; but you can not penetrate except the
Permission of God and some means of control.

فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
34- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ
وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ |
|
35- |
Against (you evil ones of both kinds), will
be sent flashes of fire and of molten copper,
and you will not be able to defend yourself.

فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
36- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
فَإِذَا
انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاء فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ |
|
37- |
And when the sky is split apart, it becomes
reddish like red burning oil. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
38- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ
لَّا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ |
|
39- |
So on that specific occasion, human and Jinn
will not be asked about their sins (as they have already been
known). |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
40- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
يُعْرَفُ
الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي
وَالْأَقْدَامِ |
|
41- |
The criminals sinners will be known by their
faces and they will be seized by their forelocks and by their
feet. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
42- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
هَذِهِ
جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
|
43- |
(They will be told:) This is the Hell which
the criminal sinners denied. |
يَطُوفُونَ
بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ |
|
44- |
They will be going between it (Hell) and
fiercely boiling water. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
45- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
وَلِمَنْ
خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ |
|
46- |
As for those who had respect for and fear
from standing before their Lord, there will be two Gardens (in Paradise). |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
47- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
48- |
Both Gardens (of Paradise) with spreading branches (with
fruits). |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
49- |
So which favors of your Lord, do
you both (man and woman or human and
Jinn) disregard and deny? |
فِيهِمَا
عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ |
|
50- |
In both of the Gardens, there will be two
kinds of flowing springs. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
51- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
فِيهِمَا مِن
كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ |
|
52- |
There will be two pairs of each kind of
fruits, |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
53- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
مُتَّكِئِينَ
عَلَى فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ وَجَنَى
الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ |
|
54- |
They will be reclining on couches lined with
silk brocade and the fruits of the two Gardens will be close at
hands. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
55- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman) disregard and deny? |
فِيهِنَّ
قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا
جَانٌّ |
|
56- |
In both of those (Gardens), there will be
chaste women with restrained glances,
whom no human being has tampered with previously, nor a jinn. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
57- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
كَأَنَّهُنَّ
الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ |
|
58- |
Their beauty, will be like red ruby and (light
color) like coral. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
59- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
هَلْ جَزَاء
الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ |
|
60- |
Should reward of goodness be anything other
than goodness? |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
61- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
وَمِن
دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ |
|
62- |
And beyond those two (Gardens), there are two
(additional) Gardens |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
63- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
64- |
Nice dark green (in color). |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
65- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
فِيهِمَا
عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ |
|
66- |
In both of them, there are two springs,
gushing forth. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
67- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
فِيهِمَا
فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ |
|
68- |
In both of them, there are fruits, date-palms
and pomegranates. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
69- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
فِيهِنَّ
خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ |
|
70- |
In them, there are beautiful nice women. |
بِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
71- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
حُورٌ
مَّقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ |
|
72- |
Fair and guarded ladies in pavilions. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
73- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا
جَانٌّ |
|
74- |
Those whom no men or Jinn had ever had
ever touched before. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
75- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
مُتَّكِئِينَ
عَلَى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ |
|
76- |
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful
mattresses and carpets which are rich in beauty. |
فَبِأَيِّ
آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
|
77- |
So which favors of your Lord, do you both
(man and woman or human and Jinn) disregard and deny? |
تَبَارَكَ
اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ |
|
78- |
Full of Blessing is the Name of your Lord
(God).
High in Majesty and Generosity. |

Also interpreted as you humans and Jinn, both of you

Each point of the earth, at any instance is a relative east and a
relative west to the opposite point on the other side of the earth, so
at any time and at any point, there are two easts and two wests.

Except by means and vehicles, allowed by God.
