The
Hypocrites - Chapter 63
| Contains 11 verses – Medina |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
1- |
When the hypocrites came to you, they said:
”We bear witness that you are really the Messenger of God".
God
knows that you are indeed His Messenger and God does witness
that the hypocrites are liars indeed. |
|
2- |
They use their oaths (that they are with you) as hidden screen (for
their hypocrisy and double-talk)
so that they hinder (themselves and others) from the Way of
God.
Of course, what they have been doing, is evil. |
|
3- |
That is because they initially believed, later
they disbelieved;
therefore their hearts became sealed (and closed to
accept the truth), so they do not understand. |
|
4- |
And when you look at them, their physical
appearances please you and when they speak, you listen to their
words.
They are like hollow pieces of wood propped up (against the
wall).
They
imagine that any cry or loud voice is against them.
They are the enemies, so beware of them.
God shall
kill them, how far astray they are (from the Truth). |
|
5- |
And when they are told: “Come along, the
Messenger of God will ask God to forgive you,”
they twist their
heads away from you and you notice them refusing in arrogance. |
|
6- |
It is the same to them, whether you
(Muhammad) ask Forgiveness for them or not,
God will never
forgive them; since God in fact does not guide rebellious evil
mongers (evil doers). |
|
7- |
They are the ones who say:
"Do not help financially those who are with the Messenger of God
so that they become hopeless and leave him."
But (they do not know that) to God belong the treasures of the
heavens and the earth
but the hypocrites don't understand it. |
|
8- |
They claim and say: "If we return to Medina,
the powerful people there,
will expel these lower class people (meaning poor Muslims) from
it,
whereas all the power and dignity belongs to God and to His
Messenger and the believers,
but the hypocrites don't know it. |
|
9- |
O you who believe, do not let your financial
belongings and your children
prevent you from remembering God and whoever does that they
should know that they are the losers. |
|
10- |
And do give in charity from what We have
provided for you before death would reach anyone of you,
at which time the person would say:
"O Lord, would you please delay my death a little longer
so that I would give in charity and I will be one of those who
improve the condition of the society". |
|
11- |
But God never delays someone's death when the
time of his or her death arrives
and God is quite Aware and Informed of whatever that you do.
