The Day of Determination - Chapter 64 | Contains 18 verses – Medina |
|
|
يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |
|
1- |
All that is in the heavens and the earth (by
their existence knowingly or unknowingly), glorify God. The Absolute Kingdom is His and all praises and thanks are due to Him. And He is the Powerful, Determinant over all things. |
|
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ فَمِنكُمْ كَافِرٌ وَمِنكُم مُّؤْمِنٌ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ |
|
2- |
He is the One, Who created you, then some of you deny (that) and others believe in and God is Ever Observant on what you do. |
|
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ |
|
3- |
He created the heavens and the earth for
demonstration of the Truth and He shaped you and gave you nice forms. And to Him is the ultimate return (of all). |
|
يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ |
|
4- |
He knows all that is and is going on in the
heavens and the earth and He knows what you conceal and hide and what you show and God is Ever All Knowing of what is in the minds of people. |
|
أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ فَذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ |
|
5- |
Didn’t you get the information about those
who disbelieved in the past, they then tasted the evil result of their behavior and they will have a painful suffering (in the Hereafter as well). |
|
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرٌ يَهْدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُوا وَتَوَلَّوا وَّاسْتَغْنَى اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ |
|
6- |
That is because their Messengers (of God)
came to them with clear explanations, but they said: “Could a human being guide us?” They then rejected it and turned away. But God did not need them, as God is All Rich, Free of all needs, Worthy of all praises. |
|
زَعَمَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَن لَّن يُبْعَثُوا قُلْ بَلَى وَرَبِّي لَتُبْعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِمَا عَمِلْتُمْ وَذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ |
|
7- |
The disbelievers thought that they won’t ever
be resurrected (raised up from death); to them say: “Certainly yes, by my Lord, you will surely be raised up again. Then you will definitely be informed about what you had been doing (during your lifetime on earth) and that is easy for God”. |
|
فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَالنُّورِ الَّذِي أَنزَلْنَا وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ |
|
8- |
Therefore believe in God and His Messenger
and the Light (of Guidance) which We have sent down (in the Quran); and God is Ever All Aware of what you do. |
|
يَوْمَ
يَجْمَعُكُمْ لِيَوْمِ الْجَمْعِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ التَّغَابُنِ وَمَن
يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا يُكَفِّرْ |
|
9- |
On the Day when He will gather you all
on the Day of Gathering. That will be the Day of Determination of loss or gain (of your deeds). And whoever believes in God and does righteous good deeds, He will cover away his sins from him or her and will admit him or her in the Gardens (of Paradise), down where streams and rivers flow, to remain there forever. Now that is the great success. |
|
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ |
|
10- |
But those who denied and rejected Our Verses
of Revelations and called them lies, they will be the companions-inhabitants of the Fire, to remain there forever. And what an awful destination it is. |
|
مَا أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَمَن يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ يَهْدِ قَلْبَهُ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ |
|
11- |
No calamity occurs, except by the Permission
of God, and whoever believes in God, He will guide his or her heart; and God is the All Knowing of all things. |
|
وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَى رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ |
|
12- |
So obey God and obey the Messenger
(Muhammad), but if you turn away, then the duty of Our Messenger is basically to convey the Message clearly. |
|
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ |
|
13- |
God is the One, no other deity or anyone or
anything is worthy of worship, except He. Therefore the believers should trust in Him. |
|
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَّكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ وَإِن تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ |
|
14- |
O you who believe, in fact from among your
spouses and your children, there are some who are practically your enemies (if they try to divert you from God’s Commandments), so beware of them. But if you pardon them, overlook and forgive their behavior, then God is truly Very Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
|
إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَاللَّهُ عِندَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ |
|
15- |
In fact your wealth and possessions and your
children are all means of testing you. And God has great rewards (for the good ones). |
|
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَاسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَأَنفِقُوا خَيْرًا لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ |
|
16- |
So be conscious of God as much as you can,
listen and obey (Him), and give in charity; that is better for yourselves. And whoever is freed from his or her own unreasonable desire of greed and craving, then they are the saved and successful ones. |
|
إِن تُقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُضَاعِفْهُ لَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ |
|
17- |
If you lend a good loan to God (by giving in
charity or other good causes), He will multiply it for you and will forgive you. And God is Ever Appreciative, Most Accommodating and Tolerant. |
|
عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
|
18- |
He is the All Knowing of all invisibles and
visible, the Almighty Irresistible, the All Wise Commander. |
