Noah - Chapter
71
| Contains 28 verses – Makka |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
1- |
We indeed sent Noah to his people, with the
order:
“Warn your people (against their misdeeds) before a
painful torment comes to them”. |
|
2- |
He said: “O my people, truly I am a warner to
you, explaining (the Truth) “ |
|
3- |
"That you should worship God and be
conscious of Him and obey me”. |
|
4- |
“He will forgive you of your sins
and will give you further time (for your improving yourselves)
until a set time.
Of course God’s appointed time, when it arrives, it can not be
postponed, if you only would realize it”. |
|
5- |
He (later on) said: “O my Lord, I indeed called
and invited my people night and day”. |
|
6- |
“But all my calling did not add anything but
to their flight (from the truth)”. |
|
7- |
“And in fact every time I called them (to
become righteous) so that
You might forgive them,
they put their fingers into their ears and covered themselves
with their clothes,
and persisted in refusing and magnified themselves arrogantly”. |
|
8- |
“Then I called them really aloud”. |
|
9- |
“Later I informed them in public and in
private”. |
|
10- |
“And I said to them: "Ask forgiveness from
your Lord, since He is Very Forgiving”. |
|
11- |
“He will send plenty of rain down for you”. |
|
12- |
“And He gives you help with wealth and
children and provides you with gardens and streams and rivers”. |
|
13- |
“What is the matter with you that you don’t
hope and recognize God’s Majesty” |
|
14- |
“Whereas He created you in so many different ways and
stages’. |
|
|
15- |
“Don’t you realize how God created the seven
skies in layers, one above the other?”.
1 |
|
16- |
“And He placed the moon in there as a
light-reflection and made the sun a lamp (the source of the
light)”.
2 |
|
17- |
“And God brought you up similar to a plant from the earth". |
|
|
18- |
“Afterwards He will return you into it and
(on the Day of Resurrection,) He brings you all out of it
again”. |
|
19- |
“And God made the earth a wide place for
you”. |
|
20- |
“So that you may go about and find broad ways
on it”. |
|
21- |
Noah said: “My Lord, they have disobeyed me
and followed somebody else,
whose wealth and children did not add anything to him but loss”. |
|
22- |
“And they designed a major plot”. |
|
23- |
And they said: “You should not abandon your
gods,
nor should you abandon (the idols) Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaoghuth,
nor Yaoogh, nor Nasr. |
|
|
24- |
(Noah begged God saying: please my Lord,)
They indeed misled many people, so please do not allow these
wrongdoing disbelievers
to do nothing but adding to disbelief and straying from the
truth. |
|
25- |
Because of their wrongdoing, they were
drowned,
ultimately they are forced to enter the Fire and they don’t find
any helper other than God. |
|
26- |
And Noah had said: “My Lord, please do not
leave any disbelievers on earth alive”. |
|
27- |
“Since if You leave them, they mislead Your
servants and they produce only wicked disbelievers”. |
|
28- |
“O my Lord, please forgive me, my parents
and all those who entered my home as believers
and all the believing men and believing women and increase
nothing to the unjust people but destruction”. |
1-
This verse and statement is another miracle of the Quran since at
the time of prophet Muhammad and more than 14 centuries ago, nobody
knew that our our sky has seven layers, this is something that we
only learned it in the last century.
2-
This is another miracle of the Quran, since at that time nobody knew
that the sun is the true lamp and source of light and that the moon has
been only a reflector of that light.
