Translation of the Holy Quran by Dr.
Gilani |
Jinn - Chapter 72
| Contains 28 verses – Makka
|
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
1- |
(O Muhammad) Say: “It was revealed to me that
a group of Jinn listened (to the Quran)
and later said: “We really heard a wonderful recitation (of the
Quran)”. 1 |
|
2- |
"It guides to progress, so we have believed
in it and we shall never associate anyone in worship with our
Lord”. |
|
|
3- |
“And He is our Lord, Whose Majesty is high
Above All, Who neither took any wife, nor any son, nor
children”. |
|
4- |
“And that the foolish one of us said very
wrong and false things against God”.
2 |
|
5- |
“Whereas we had thought in fact that humans
and Jinns would never say any lie against God". |
|
6- |
“But in reality, there had been some men
among mankind who sought shelter and protection
from some men of the Jinnkind (instead of God),
so this behavior caused them increase in sin and rebellion
(against God)”. |
|
|
7- |
“And they thought just as you thought that God
never sends any Messengers (to mankind or Jinnkind)
and He will never raise anyone from the dead”. |
|
8- |
“And that we did reach the sky and we found
it full of stern guards and fiery missiles”. |
|
9- |
“And that we used to sit there in station to
listen (to the conversations from above).
But now if anyone who would attempt to listen, will find
missiles aimed at him”. |
|
10- |
“And that we don’t know if a catastrophe is
intended for the population of the earth
or that their Lord intends more opportunity for progress and
improvement for them”. |
|
11- |
“And that of course there are among us, some
who are righteous, and some to the contrary and not righteous;
we have been of different ways and sects”. |
|
12- |
“And that we have believed all along that we
can not escape or defeat God,
neither on earth,
nor could we escape Him in flight”. |
|
13- |
“And we also believed in the Guidance, when
we heard it, so whoever believes in his Lord,
shall not have any fear of any decrease in his rewards nor any
oppression and injustice”. |
|
14- |
“And that among us, there are Muslims (who
have submitted themselves to God’s Guidance)
and there are some of us who have deviated.
And whoever
submitted himself to God,
then such are the ones who have chosen the path to progress”. |
|
|
15- |
“But as for the deviated ones, they shall be
the fuel for the Hell”. |
|
16- |
If they (the non-Muslims) had taken up the
Right Way,
We would surely have bestowed upon them water in abundance. |
|
17- |
So that We may test and try them by that.
And whoever neglects from remembering his Lord,
He will make him reach a state of increasing suffering (mental and
physical). |
|
18- |
Also remember that the mosques (all places of
worship) are for the worship of God Alone,
so do not ever pray to or invoke anyone else along with God. |
|
19- |
Also know that when the servant of God
stood up praying to Him,
they were just a dense crowd, who climbed over each other. |
|
20- |
Say: “I call my Lord (God Alone) in prayer
and I do not associate anyone with Him”. |
|
21- |
(O Muhammad) Say: “I have no power to cause
you any harm, nor to make you progress in the Right Path”. |
|
22- |
Say: “No one can protect me from God, nor can
I ever find any refuge other than Him”. |
|
23- |
“My duty is only to bring the truth from God
and His Messages.
And whoever disobeys God and His Messenger, then he will
certainly have the Fire of Hell,
such people will stay there forever”. |
|
24- |
They won’t understand it till they see what
they are being promised,
then they shall know who is weaker as far as being helped is
concerned
and who is less in numbers. |
|
25- |
(O Muhammad) Say: “I do not know if that
which you are being promised is in the near future
or my Lord has postponed it into more distant future”. |
|
26- |
“He Alone is the All Knowing of the unseen
future,
nor does He give anyone access to His Knowledge of the unseen
future”, |
|
27- |
“Except to a Messenger whom he has been
pleased with.
In fact He then makes a row of angelic forces guard before him
and behind him.
(Also He informs him of some events that lie ahead and of the
past). |
|
28- |
So as to make known that they have conveyed
the Messages of their Lord
and He thoroughly knows and controls all that is with them and He keeps account of
all things. |
1
Beings created by God from waves of fire,
as humans were created from the earth substances and the angels from waves of
light.
2
Iblis = Satan is of the Jinn-kind, who disobeyed God.
