Those Sent Forth - Chapter 77
| Contains 50 verses – Makka
|
|
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ |
|
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
1- |
Consider those which
are being sent forth one after
another, |
|
2- |
Which then move as a hurricane, |
|
3- |
And spread (things or Messages) far and
wide, |
|
4- |
Separating then one from another, (right
from wrong). |
|
5- |
And those inspirations which reveal the
Reminder (of God), |
|
6- |
To explain the reason or to warn. |
|
إِنَّمَا
تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ |
|
|
7- |
That certainly what you are being
promised, will surely happen. |
|
فَإِذَا
النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ |
|
|
8- |
So that when the stars are extinguished, |
|
وَإِذَا
السَّمَاء فُرِجَتْ |
|
|
9- |
And when he sky is split apart, |
|
وَإِذَا
الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ |
|
|
10- |
And when the mountains are carried and
scattered as dust, |
|
وَإِذَا
الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ |
|
|
11- |
And when the time for messengers is set,
|
|
12- |
For what Day is this time set (by God)?. |
|
13- |
For the Day of Separation (of good and
bad, right and wrong). |
|
وَمَا
أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ |
|
|
14- |
And what is your take of the Day of
Separation? |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
15- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
|
|
16- |
Didn’t We destroy earlier (evildoing)
people? |
|
ثُمَّ
نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ |
|
|
17- |
We then cause other (generations) to
follow them? |
|
كَذَلِكَ
نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ |
|
|
18- |
In such a way, We deal with sinful people. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
19- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
أَلَمْ
نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاء مَّهِينٍ |
|
|
20- |
Didn’t We create you of a lowly liquid
(the semen)? |
|
فَجَعَلْنَاهُ
فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ |
|
|
21- |
The We placed it in a safe location (in the
womb), |
|
22- |
For a known period of pregnancy,
determined (by God). |
|
فَقَدَرْنَا
فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ |
|
|
23- |
So We determine and We are the Best
Determinant. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
24- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
أَلَمْ
نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا |
|
|
25- |
Didn’t We made the earth as a place to
get together, |
|
26- |
For the living and for the dead? |
|
وَجَعَلْنَا
فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاء فُرَاتًا |
|
|
27- |
And We placed in it high firm mountains
and have given you sweet pleasant water to drink. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
28- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
انطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنتُم بِهِ
تُكَذِّبُونَ |
|
|
29- |
(They will be told:) “Get going to that
(Hell) which you used to deny”. |
|
انطَلِقُوا
إِلَى ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ |
|
|
30- |
Get going towards the shadow (of the
smoke of the Fire of Hell) having three branches (in different
directions)”. |
|
لَا ظَلِيلٍ
وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ |
|
|
31- |
“Having no shade and no relief or any shelter from
the flame”. |
|
إِنَّهَا
تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ |
|
|
32- |
“Indeed it throws about sparks as large
as castles”. |
|
كَأَنَّهُ
جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ |
|
|
33- |
“Also as if there were a row of yellow camels
(jumping around)”. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
34- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
هَذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ |
|
|
35- |
This is the Day, when they do not speak, |
|
وَلَا
يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ |
|
|
36- |
Nor will they be allowed to offer any
excuses. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
37- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
هَذَا يَوْمُ
الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ |
|
|
38- |
(They will be told:) This is the Day of
Separation (of good and bad).
We put you and the people of previous
generations together. |
|
فَإِن كَانَ
لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ |
|
|
39- |
Now if you have any tricks, try it
against Me. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
40- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
إِنَّ
الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ |
|
|
41- |
But as for the God-conscious pious
persons, they will in fact be in the shades (of Paradise) and by
the springs, |
|
وَفَوَاكِهَ
مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ |
|
|
42- |
And by the fruits such as they desire.
|
|
كُلُوا
وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
|
|
43- |
(They will be offered:) Eat and drink to
your pleasure for what you used to do (in good righteous work). |
|
إِنَّا
كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنينَ |
|
|
44- |
Such do We indeed reward those who do
good deeds. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
45- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
كُلُوا
وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ |
|
|
46- |
(Now you deniers-unbelievers:)
"Eat and
drink for a little while (on earth, but be warned that) you are
really sinners”. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
47- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
وَإِذَا قِيلَ
لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ |
|
|
48- |
Those who when they are told: “Bow down
in prayer”, they do not bow down. |
|
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
|
|
49- |
It is awful on that Day for those who
reject the truth, calling them lies. |
|
فَبِأَيِّ
حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
|
|
50- |
So after that (the Quran and all that warning), in which
statement do they believe? |
