Bursting Apart
- Chapter 82

|
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ |
|
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
إِذَا
السَّمَاء انفَطَرَتْ |
|
|
1- |
When the sky bursts apart, |
|
وَإِذَا
الْكَوَاكِبُ انتَثَرَتْ |
|
|
2- |
when the stars become dispersed, |
|
وَإِذَا
الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ |
|
|
3- |
When the seas become violently overflow, |
|
وَإِذَا
الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ |
|
|
4- |
When the graves become upside down, |
|
عَلِمَتْ
نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ |
|
|
5- |
Every person shall know what that person sent
ahead before his (or her0 death and what he (or she) left
behind. |
|
يَا أَيُّهَا
الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ |
|
|
6- |
O' mankind, what has deceived [and seduced]
you concerning your Generous Lord? |
|
الَّذِي
خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ |
|
|
7- |
Who created you, fashioned you, and
proportioned you, |
|
فِي أَيِّ
صُورَةٍ مَّا شَاء رَكَّبَكَ |
|
|
8- |
In whatever shape He wanted, He has put your
frame together, |
|
كَلَّا بَلْ
تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ |
|
|
9- |
Nevertheless, you still reject and deny the
Religion (the Day of Judgment). |
|
وَإِنَّ
عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ |
|
|
10- |
And truly, there are guardians upon you,
|
|
11- |
Who are
honorable recorders, |
|
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ |
|
|
12- |
And they know what you are doing. |
|
إِنَّ
الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ |
|
|
13- |
Certainly the nice people will be in state of
blessing, |
|
وَإِنَّ
الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ |
|
|
14- |
While the wicked, will surely be in the Fire
of Hell; |
|
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ |
|
|
15- |
They will enter there on the Day of Religion
(the Day of Judgment). |
|
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ |
|
|
16- |
And they will not be absent from it. |
|
وَمَا
أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
|
|
17- |
What could let you know and make you realize,
what the Day of Religion is (the Day of Judgment is)?
(What do you know concerning the Day of Judgment?) |
|
ثُمَّ مَا
أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
|
|
18- |
Again, what could let you know and make you
realize, what the Day of Religion is (the Day of Judgment is)? |
|
يَوْمَ لَا
تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ |
|
|
19- |
That is a Day when no one has any authority
about any other person and the Command on that Day belongs to
God. |
