Night - Chapter 92
| Contains 21 verses – Makka |
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
1- |
Consider the night, when it covers (the
earth) with darkness. |
2- |
And the day as it appears with brightness and
clarity. |
3- |
And all the factors (chromosomes) in the
creation of the male and the female. |
4- |
And the fact that your striving and effort
has different aims and goals. |
5- |
So as for the person who gives in charity,
and is conscious of God, and is pious. |
6- |
And believes and affirms in the ultimate
goodness, |
7- |
Therefore We make his way easy in that
direction (of goodness) |
7-
8- |
But as for the one who is a greedy miser and
thinks himself to be self-sufficient, |
9- |
And rejects the idea of goodness, |
10- |
We will easily make his way aim towards
difficulties and problems. |
11- |
And his wealth is not going to save him as he
is going down into death and destruction. |
12- |
Truly Guidance is by Us. |
13- |
And certainly to Us belongs all in the
Hereafter world and this first existence of yours. |
14- |
So I have warned you of the Fire that blazes
and rages. |
15- |
None shall enter to endure it except the most
wicked evil ones, |
16- |
Those who call (God’s Messages) as lies and
turn away (from it). |
17- |
But the most pious shall be kept far away
from it, |
18- |
The person who spends his wealth (in the
Cause of God, helping the needy),
thereby purifying himself (or herself). |
19- |
And has no desire of any favor from anyone
for that, |
20- |
Other than for reaching the approval of his
Lord, the Most High. |
21- |
And in time he (or she) will surely be
pleased. |
