The Bright Light of the
Morning
- Chapter 93
| Contains 11 verses – Makka
|
|
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ |
|
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
1- |
Consider the bright morning light, |
|
2- |
And the night when it
becomes calm (when it becomes dark), |
|
مَا وَدَّعَكَ
رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى |
|
|
3- |
(O Muhammad) Your Lord has neither forsaken
you, nor is He displeased with you.

|
وَلَلْآخِرَةُ
خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَى |
|
|
4- |
And surely the Hereafter life will be better
for you than the present life. |
|
وَلَسَوْفَ
يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى |
|
|
5- |
And soon your Lord shall grant you His favor,
so that you will be well-pleased. |
|
أَلَمْ
يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَى |
|
|
6- |
Did not He notice you as an orphan and gave you
shelter? |
|
وَوَجَدَكَ
ضَالًّا فَهَدَى |
|
|
7- |
And did He noticed you lost (searching for the
truth), then He has guided you. |
|
وَوَجَدَكَ
عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَى |
|
|
8- |
And He noticed you in need, then He made you
free of need. |
|
فَأَمَّا
الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ |
|
|
9- |
Therefore do not treat the orphans with
disrespect or harshness. |
|
وَأَمَّا
السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ |
|
|
10- |
And do not repel or turn away anyone who asks for help. |
|
وَأَمَّا
بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ |
|
|
11- |
And do mention and talk about the Blessings
of your Lord. (which also causes hope and appreciation for
others). |

Once the prophet
Muhammad did not receive Revelations for weeks and he became
very worried, so God almighty, the Most Gracious sent down these
Verses and gave him peace and tranquility.
