Translation of the Holy Quran by Dr. Gilani

The Expansion - Chapter 94                                     |                                  Contains 8 verses – Makka

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

1-

(O Muhammad) Have we not expanded your heart and your perception?

2-

And We removed your burden from you,

3-

Which weighed down you, and it was about to break your back?

4-

And we raised the mention of your name and standing.

5-

Then (know that) truly with hardship comes ease and relief,

6-

Surely, with hardship does come ease and relief!

7-

Therefore, when you have finished your mission, then introduce and install (your substitute to lead the Muslims)     1

8-

And turn your attention to your Lord and also encourage others to your Lord.

Footnotes

1- On return from his last pilgrimage from Mecca on the way back to Medina, the prophet gathered all the present with him and after thanking God for all the blessings and victory of God’s Religion, he told the folks that he expects to die soon and recommended Ali, who never committed idolatry or any sin, unlike some others, to be his substitute after him. Read the history without bias and choose the best.
