The Suspended Being - Chapter 96
| Contains 19 verses – Makka
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
1- |
Read (O Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord
Who has created (all beings). |
2- |
He has created mankind from a suspended
being (early stage of embryo, our being in mother's womb). 1 |
3- |
Read and know that your Lord is Most Generous, |
4- |
Who has taught by means of the pen (and
writing). |
5- |
He has taught mankind what he did not know. |
6- |
So it is not right that mankind does in fact
violate the limits (set by God), |
7- |
Just because he has seen and considered
himself rich. |
8- |
But surely the ultimate return of all is unto your
Lord
(into His Custody at the time of death and ultimately on
the Judgment Day). |
9- |
Did you observe the one who forbids,
2 |
10- |
The servant of God while he was praying? |
11- |
Have you ever thought if he were on
the path of guidance (by God)? |
12- |
Also the fact that he encourages piety and
God-consciousness. |
13- |
Have you considered if he (the disbeliever
who )
rejected (the Quran) and turned away, |
14- |
Doesn’t he know that God sees everything he
does? |
15- |
It is not right the way he behaves.
If he does not
stop that behavior, We shall grab him by his (forelock hairs)
forehead (to be put in the Hell), |
16- |
The forehead (of that person), which is lying and is sinful. |
17- |
Then let him call his (previous followers
and) audience (if any could
help him out). |
18- |
We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with
him). |
19- |
His behavior is not acceptable.
Don’t pay
attention or obey him,
but do bow down and prostrate your forehead to the ground and
seek nearness to Us (to God). |
