The Clear
Evidence
- Chapter 98
| Contains 8 verses – Medina |
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
1- |
Those who disbelieve from among the people of the Scripture
(some Jews, and many Christians)
and the pagans- polytheists
will not detach themselves from disbelief and wrong ideas until
the Clear
Evidence (of the Quran) reaches them
(with the necessary clarifications and they would understand and
believe in it ). |
|
2- |
Through a
Messenger from God, reciting to them the pages (of the Quran)
which are blessed with purity and immune (from falsehood), |
3- |
In
which there are writings which are clearly standing
laws. |
|
4- |
And the people which were given the Scriptures before (the Jews
and the Christians),
they went another direction only after the clear
evidence (of the Oneness of God ) had reached them, |
|
5- |
Even though
they were commanded to worship only God, devoting their
faith and religion exclusively to Him
and to keep up with
regular prayers and to give in charity;
and that is the upright
correct religion. |
|
6- |
In
fact those who deny the truth (of the Oneness of God) from among
the people of Scripture
and the pagan polytheists shall be in
the Fire of Hell, staying there forever,
Those are the worst of creatures. |
|
7- |
But those who have believed and have done righteous good works,
they are the best of creatures. |
|
8- |
Their rewards by their Lord will be everlasting Gardens
(of Paradise), at the bottom of which streams and
rivers flow,
They will reside there for ever,
God is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him (with
their
Lord),
such is the end result for those who are in awe and fear of their Lord
(who are very God conscious and they are fearful of disobeying
Him). |
