The Earthquake - Chapter 99                                   |                                Contains 8 verses – Medina  

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا

1-

When the earth will shake in its most severe and ultimate earthquake.

وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا

2-

And the earth throws out its heavy burdens (contents including the graves).

وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا 

3-

And mankind will be asking: “ what is happening to it (to the earth)? ”

يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا

4-

On that day, its stories (of the earth) will be related,

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَى لَهَا

5-

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ

6-

On that Day, humankind will come out in scattered groups, to be shown their deeds.

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ

7-

So whoever had done any good, the weight of a small particle, shall see it.

وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ

8-

And whoever had done evil the equal of a small particle, shall also see it.
