The Slanderer
- Chapter 104
| Contains 7 verses – Makka |
|
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ |
|
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
وَيْلٌ
لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ |
|
|
1- |
Woe to any slanderer, back biter |
|
الَّذِي
جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ |
|
|
2- |
Who gathered wealth and counted, |
|
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ
مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ |
|
|
3- |
Thinking that his wealth will make him live
forever. |
|
كَلَّا
لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ |
|
|
4- |
Not so, but in fact he will be thrown into
the crushing suffering (of hell). |
|
وَمَا
أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ |
|
|
5- |
And what do you know what the crushing
suffering will be? |
|
نَارُ اللَّهِ
الْمُوقَدَةُ |
|
|
6- |
It is a Fire, kindled by God, |
|
الَّتِي
تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ |
|
|
7- |
Which will appear to the (guilty) hearts. |
|
إِنَّهَا
عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ |
|
|
8- |
Indeed it will close up upon them, |
|
9- |
With extended columns. |
